Targeted support for refurbishment measures with LUNOS ventilation units

Less sealed surfaces with a simultaneous housing shortage - the challenges of our time are also tough in the real estate sector. On the one hand, there is the need to continue to maintain areas free of asphalt and concrete, where rainwater can evaporate and nature can be itself. On the other hand, the housing shortage is increasing. According to a study by the Pestel Institute and the construction research institute ARGE[1], there is currently a shortage of more than 700,000 homes in Germany.

One promising solution to this problem is the refurbishment of vacant existing properties. According to estimates by the BBSR, there are around 1.7 million vacant apartments in Germany[2] - more than twice as many as are needed! Vacation apartments have already been factored out here.

But if Germany has enough empty apartments, why aren't they being made habitable? There are many reasons for this. One of them is owners' fear of costly and time-consuming renovations. Yet politicians have long recognized the potential that lies dormant in existing properties. Various subsidies, particularly from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), help property owners to renovate their homes, especially if this results in a higher energy efficiency rating. As a medium-sized company, we at LUNOS also want to bear our responsibility for the environment and social issues. When developing our pioneering ventilation systems, we therefore pay particular attention to two things: the energy balance and the installation of our devices.

When it comes to energy balance, we have long been setting the standards in the ventilation market. Our devices not only consume significantly less energy than the market average, but depending on the device type, they also keep the property pleasantly warm at all times thanks to targeted heat recovery - without high heating costs. In this way, we help you to achieve a higher energy efficiency class and your tenants benefit from fresh and warm air in the rooms at all times.

But we are also one step ahead when it comes to installation and handling. Our ventilation systems are installed in the wall without any major construction work. It is not necessary to tear open the walls. Instead, a simple core drilling is enough to connect the inside and outside - and the ventilation system is already installed. The Smart Comfort control unit and our award-winning radio control panel take care of the rest.

Thanks to this simple installation, our ventilation systems are installed and ready for use in no time at all, regardless of whether it's a new build or renovation, residential building or warehouse. In this way, we motivate property owners every day to tackle refurbishment after all - and thus play our part in ensuring that we as a society do equal justice to the creation of living space and nature conservation.
